A home in Framfjorden
Lovise was born at Tynning on 22 July 1910. In 1932 she married the carpenter Sivert Larsson Bungum from Arnafjord. They built a house in Framfjorden and moved in the following year. There their sons Lidvin, Ivar, Sverre Lorents, Hilmar and Arne grew up.
Lovise's own life is less visible in public sources than the lives of several of her sons. An archive photograph of the Valsvik women's association from 1981 nevertheless gives an important glimpse. The archive caption names Lovise Bungum as second from the left among the women. The identification should be confirmed by the family or by the Vik local history archive before the photograph is published as a certain portrait.
A family photograph from Framfjorden is coming
The eightieth birthday
When she turned 80 in 1990 she thanked, through the newspaper Sogningen/Sogns Avis, everyone who met her at Brekkestranda and everyone who sent greetings home to Framfjorden. The short notice shows both the connection back to Brekke and the home she and Sivert had made on the other side of the family map.

Through her children the branch gained a wide professional reach. Lidvin became an agronomist and teacher, Ivar a dentist, and Sverre spent a long life in the school system and as an author and cultural historian. He wrote among other things about the Bungum farm in Framfjorden and in 2024 edited a new edition of his grandfather Isak Tynning's «Fruktdyrking i kyststrok». Hilmar became a professor and an internationally publishing seismologist at NORSAR. The national research register lists him as professor emeritus with seismology, earthquake hazard and seismotectonics as his fields. The youngest son was Arne.
