Two farms in Brekke

Lasse and Åshild each grew up on a farm in Brekke in Ytre Sogn, a short way from one another. The families were already bound together: two Haugland brothers had married two Tynning sisters in the 1860s, and their fathers were therefore double first cousins. When Lasse and Åshild married in 1928, the parish history called him her second cousin once removed.

Journalist, presenter and author. From Radio 1 and TV 2 to Kirkens Bymisjon in Porsgrunn, Signe has used her voice to meet people, ask questions and make room for good stories.
